Mission
The mission statement of GRAMIN VIKAS SAMITI (GVS):
“Empowering deprived and vulnerable sections of society, particularly Tribals, Dalit, Backword class, Children and women, by protecting human rights, capacity building, mobilization of communities. Sustainable development of farmers through encouraging them to adopt various scientific and organic techniques to grow more food and promoting overall livelihood development.”
GVS through its various interventions in the field strives to move towards the following objectives:
- To work for women & child rights as well as their development.
- To eliminate all kinds of discrimination based on caste, class, and gender
- To organize Tribals & Dalit community and other weaker sections of the society
- To create awareness among Tribal community and other weaker sections regarding their entitlements
- To Educate Tribals and other weaker sections
- To empower Tribal community and other weaker sections
- To help them in preserving their culture and dynasty regarding arts and medicines as well as let them meet with present scenario of society.
- Encouragement of farmers to adopt farm mechanization and organic techniques of farming, hence it improves their means of livelihood and make the environment free from chemicals.
- Researches on health, mnrega, panchayati raj,forest (van adhikar act) livelihood at grass root levels to strengthen the system.
